LMHQ strives to be a different type of flexible workspace

Work, learning and networking at heart of LMHQ. LMHQ reinvented itself from co-working setup Hive at 55 when it moved to a 12,500-square-foot space at 150 Broadway in 2015 and is now “co-working adjacent,” said Tracy Candido, director of programs and events, “because somebody like a WeWork would give you an office, a dedicated desk like a regular office, which is wonderful. LMHQ is different in that we can expand and contract the way you need us to.”

In a conversation at non-profit creative space LMHQ’s offices with the NYC Downtown Alliance’s Behind The Creative Curtain quarterly speaking series, West Elm’s Ella Tay, director of Brand Marketing + Partnerships, and Mo Mullen, Director of Business Development for LOCAL, discussed the nature of a multinational chain collaborating with others to build solid roots around its locations.

One Year In

Part co-working space, part entrepreneurial event space, and part lower Manhattan community space, LMHQ last week celebrated its one-year anniversary with a party to show off both its offices at 150 Broadway and some of the people who rely on the non-profit resource.
