Developing a Coaching Mindset

Date: 08/18/2020

Time: 12:00pm
Where: LMHQ, Virtual,

Whether with direct reports, friends or partners, we've all been in a situation where communication channels have broken down, meaning has been misunderstood, and people haven't taken our brilliant advice, no matter how many times we've tried to help. In this workshop, Commcoterie founder and communications expert Caitlin Elizabeth Harper will demonstrate how through asking the right questions, practicing active listening, getting comfortable with silence, and empowering others to take action rather than directing them, anyone can use coaching tools and positive communication techniques to help others be more effective and reach their goals. This workshop is perfect for new managers or those looking to take their team leadership skills to the next level.

About Our Workshop Leader

For the past ten years, Caitlin Elizabeth Harper has led communication, operations, leadership and learning, and people strategy in global digital media companies, small businesses, non-profits, and government agencies. She is an expert in scaling cultures, change management, and building communities and she's passionate about all things communication, whole-self development, psychology, and storytelling. Her mission is to help people communicate and collaborate effectively so they can strengthen their communities and reach their goals.
About Commcoterie
Commcoterie is a community for communicators. Our members network, learn how to self-coach, share resources, and pair up for peer coaching. We release new communication-focused whole-self development resources every week to learn how to make our communication more effective, inclusive, and engaging. We also partner with companies for Commcoterie workshops and communication and organizational culture consulting through Commcoterie @ Work.
This workshop is presented as part of LMHQ’s Community Spotlight workshop series. This series is designed to highlight and amplify the voices of our talented community.
