The Art of Giving and Receiving Feedback

Date: 03/04/2020

Time: 6:00pm
Where: LMHQ, 150 Broadway, 20th Floor, New York NY

Companies that implement regular feedback have higher levels of employee engagement, increased performance and productivity, and lower turnover rates. However, integral feedback is not easy to give, and can be even tougher to receive. In this workshop, managers will re-acquaint themselves with feedback, learning to see it as a positive, necessary force. Participants will learn how to give constructive, actionable, and specific feedback, and experience receiving feedback with a growth mindset.
This workshop is led by Jen Jamula, co-founder of GoldJam Creative, an organization dedicated to exploring the influence of the Information Age on communication, and to bringing comedy and creativity to the workplace. GoldJam leads communication skills workshops for companies, co-working spaces, incubators and student groups as varied as Buzzfeed, Time Warner, Spotify, NBCU, DreamIt Ventures, Barnard, The Girl Scouts of NY, Penguin Random House, American Express and more. They coach companies on public speaking, pitching, giving and receiving feedback, unconscious bias and inclusion, effective communication, and more. Co-founders Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula are also comedians, and were recently featured on the cover of Time Out New York, which ranked them among “the 10 funniest women in NYC”. Their comedy projects have been featured in WIRED, Forbes, Newsweek, Vice, among others.

Workshop will begin promptly at 6pm. Light refreshments will be served..
