LMHQ Events: Navigating Career Changes, The Four-Day Workweek, And More

Date: 09/07/2021

While we’re starting to pack up our beach chairs and eat the last of our zucchini hauls, LMHQ is excited to kick off our fall programming season!

We’re looking forward to welcoming folks back into our space at 150 Broadway, where we’ll have Covid-safe ventilation and protocols in place. We will also continue with virtual programming so that our content can continue to serve as a resource for those who can’t join in person.

In September and October, we’re embracing a “Back to School” theme and serving up a slate of tactical, skill-based workshops and panels designed to get your fall productivity into gear. We’ll start the season with Hacking the Fear of Public Speaking (virtual, 9/14) to help us remember how to present with confidence and feel secure in our ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner.

Our first in-person event will be our Women’s Breakfast on How to Navigate a Career Change with Confidence (9/23). You’ll hear from a panel of successful career pivoters about the steps they took to move into the fields and roles of their dreams and have a chance to connect face-to-face with other members of the LMHQ community. Follow up this inspirational session with an in-depth workshop on How to Create a Stand-Out Resume (virtual, 10/7), and you’ll be ready to make your best career move yet.

Turbo-charge your productivity by learning how to Build Your Project Management Toolkit (virtual, 9/29) and embrace the future of the ever-changing workplace by exploring The Case for the Four-Day Workweek (in-person, 10/6). Shake off your creative cobwebs and evolve your everyday work practices with Innovation 101: Strategies to Accelerate Innovative Thinking (in-person, 10/21).

Lastly, NYC will hold its 2021 citywide elections on Tuesday, November 3. To ensure that all of our fellow denizens are prepared to vote, we’re holding a Pre-Election Happy Hour: Ballot Review & Postcarding Session (in-person, 10/13). Meet friends and neighbors, learn about ballot initiatives, grab a drink and get out the vote with personalized postcards.

And that’s just the beginning! Stay tuned for our October Women’s Breakfast as well as our programming calendar for November and December. We can’t wait to see you again, either in person or on Zoom! To learn more about these events and to RSVP visit
